Obituary

Carlos Rolando Vasquez was born on September 5th, 1930 in San Salvador, El Salvador to his parents Jose and Teresa Vasquez; He entered into eternal rest on September 19th, 2016 in Coral Springs, Florida. Proceeded in death by his parents and four siblings, he is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Tonita; his two Children Veronica Suarez and Carlos E. (Santy) Vasquez; his grandchildren Patricia "Cookie" Godinez, Claudia (Peter Joseph) Strawicki, Ben (Hillary) Suarez, Monica Vasquez, and Jessica Vasquez, ESQ; he is further survived by his first Great Grandchild, Bryson Stawicki.

While he married his wife and started his family in El Salvador, Carlos immigrated to the United States in October of 1970. He graduated from Barry University on top of his previous formal education in El Salvador, and went on to work 30 years as an accountant to the U.S. Government. Carlos was serious and devoted to work, but had a special place in his heart for God; he dedicated his life to God and the Baptist Church, celebrating often in Miami before moving North to Coral Springs. When he wasn't being serious he was talkative, had plenty of fun with woodworking and he loved to Dance. He read the newspaper and watched The Price is Right every day.

Carlos was a Family Man through and through, loved spending time with his children and made every effort to love his Grandchildren, who loved their Abuelo with all their heart in return. He will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home.
