IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlos Marcelo
Marchelli
August 22, 1972 – September 28, 2019
Marcelo was born on August 22, 1972 in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. He was the youngest son of Carlos Marchelli and Mabel Bestard, brother of Veronica, who is married to José M. Duarte, and uncle of Sara and Samuel. He moved to the Florida in 2002 and shortly thereafter met, the love of his life, Sara Soto. They started a new life together as a married couple in 2005. In 2006, they started the MSM Tile Installers, LLC. As MSM grew over the years, the company and their employees became more like a family.
Marcelo accepted Jesus Christ early in his childhood and immediately began to work and serve for the lord. He quickly emerged as leader in Christ.
In Uruguay, he presided over the youth of his council at the national level. Later, he founded a church which he pastored for 10 years. He also worked as an evangelist to a community of lepers , and served as a preacher of the "Cristo Vive" (Christ Lives) radio program.
In the United States, his work was diversified as: discipleship, leadership, worship leader, and a teacher at the Assemblies of God Institute of Theology. His love for his neighborhood led him to exercise his ministry in prisons while he was an active member of the men's ministry of the " Primera Iglesia Hispana de la Biblia Abierta", Broward.
Marcelo's vision was not only to work locally, but he had the opportunity to do missions and take the word to different countries in Latin America and Europe. He founded the Pastoral Support Network, and worked on the "Pass through Europe and Help Us" project - with the intention of serving the body of Christ in Europe or anyplace in need.
Marcelo leaves a legacy of love and service to God, with a missionary vision and of the integral pastoral care, of which today he makes us all participants. We thank God for your life, example, and your teachings. We will see you soon.
"I will go to him, but he will not come back to me." (2 Samuel 12:23)
