Bob Clothier, 73, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at home. He was born July 23, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Raymond and Maria Clothier. Bob was a graduate of La Salle University and was commissioned to the United States Army as an officer shortly thereafter. He later continued his studies at Drexel University earning a Master's in Finance. Bob moved to South Florida where he met his beloved Jane and they were wed in 1976. Together they had a son, Robert Clothier. Although his profession was a Real Estate Broker, Bob was also very involved with the community. As a 30+ year resident of Coral Springs he took great pride in fulfilling his civic duties including membership in Coral Springs Sister Cities, Coral Springs International Partners and Chairmanship of JP Taravella's School Advisory Committee. Bob was also the former President of Regional Republican Club in Broward County, where he remained active until his passing. He was commissioned to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels in recognition of his many civic contributions as well as his historical studies by the Governor of the State of Kentucky. From visiting his ancestral home in Donegal, Ireland to riding camel-back through the sands of the Sahara, Bob was a world traveler twice over and would often refer to travel as an addiction, not just a passion. He loved to eat and he loved a good joke, always making it known that he was both Irish and ticklish! There were two constants in Bob's life. One was his faith in God. The other was morning coffee at McDonald's with his buddies. Bob leaves his wife of 37 years, Jane, and their son, Robert J. Clothier, to cherish his memory.
