Rivera, Beatrice, 58, of Corona, NY passed away on July 10, 2015. Born on February 27, 1957 to Jose and Carmen Perez in the Bronx, NY, she was the first generation of our Puerto Rican descent in the United States.

Betsy, as she was known to all, was an Angel from God. Her sole desire in life was to help and guide others on the path of great faith and in the good in man. She was a giving and caring woman that always saw the positive in life and instilled in her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews the act of love. Betsy worked while raising her daughters but still found time to cook and bake for them; it was one of the few things she truly enjoyed doing. Betsy welcomed everyone to her family, all the kids on the block would go to Betsy for advice or just the loving touch of a mother. She would make the time to listen to all with no judgement, but an understanding.

Betsy is survived by her daughters, Tracy Rivera and Rita (Daniel) Sud; her grandchildren, Danilo, Christopher, Amber, and Kayla; her Mom Carmen Perez and siblings, Carmen, Julie, and Wilfredo. Also left to cherish her memory are her husband, Raymond; her brother-in-law, Manny; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
