Barbara Ann Sandager, 68, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 27, 2025. She is now reunited with her parents, Audrey and Nicholas Romano. Barbara was born January 11, 1957, in Rockville Centre, New York. She grew up in West Hempstead, New York, and moved to South Florida after high school. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Glen, their children, Vinnie and Joanna (T.J.), and her siblings. She was the oldest of three children and will be sorely missed by her beloved sister Donna Romano (Scott), her brother Nick Romano, and her nephew, Nick. Barbara loved her two grandchildren, Rory and Sophia, with all of her heart and she was proud to be their "Nonna".

Coming from a large Italian family, she has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that will always remember Barbara as the person who would do anything for those in her life. She volunteered as a classroom "room mom" and Girl Scout leader for many years. She was kindhearted and generous. It was always the little details that she never missed—like a simple greeting card at the right time or a phone call to just say hello. Her smile and welcoming nature were contagious to anyone she encountered. God, in his infinite wisdom and mercy, recognized that Barbara was in need of rest and is now at peace.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale, FL. A gathering for celebration of her life will follow at our family home at 4 PM. Please visit this link for additional information for condolences and flower donations.
