Athena Maria Antoniades, lover of light and the love it exudes, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was 37.

Athena was born in Orange, New Jersey, July 21, 1978, to Catherine Ann Antoniades and Constantine Hurcules Antoniades. Athena moved to Florida as a young child. Performing arts was her passion and she pursued an acting career for a time in New York; however, she eventually returned to Florida where she worked in marketing and cosmetology. Athena settled in Deerfield Beach.

Athena's relentless energy, magnetism, creative charm, and quick wit touched the lives of many. She thrived by experiencing the rawness of life, embraced every community she lived in and the people she met, and regularly added color to the world around her. Athena was our effervescent spirit of life and she embodied the Greek goddess Athena in art and courage. Her soul is at peace with her Father God.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Catherine of FL and father, Constantine, of Greece, adored sisters, Tiffany McDonald and Samantha Antoniades, brother-in-law, Chris McDonald, cherished nephews Jeramiah, Logan, and Benjamin, step father, William Telaglow, and dearest friend Niki DiLaura, as well as many other loved family members and friends.
