Asuncion Rodriguez, 101, of Parkland, FL passed away on April 12, 2016. Born in Cuba on August 15, 1914, she relocated to New Jersey before settling in Florida with her daughter. Asuncion was a strong, hardworking woman most of her life. She was very giving and loving. Nothing pleased her more than to cook for her family and host get togethers.

Asuncion is survived by her children, Maria (Pedro) Garcia and Eligio (Andrea) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Pedro, Ofi, Annie, Alex, David and Ozzy; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Alisha, Andrew, Kristian, Danny, Lauren, David Michael, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Joshua and Jacob. She also leaves her great great grandchildren, David and Alexa, to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eligio, in 1967.

Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2016, with burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
