Alfred J. Roberts, 84, of Tamarac, FL entered into eternal rest on October 29th 2021. He is survived by -wife Margaret Roberts, sister Barbara Buchan, children Danny Roberts, Carol Knight, Edward Roberts, and Michael Roberts, and grandchildren Christopher Roberts, Alex Roberts, Tucker Knight, Anna Scavuzzo, Angela Roberts, John James Roberts, Dylan Roberts, and Avery Roberts. He is preceded is death by his parents- Stephen Roberts and Ivy Rena King.

Alfred was born April 26, 1937 to parents Stephen Roberts and Ivy Rena King in Glen Cove, New York. Alfred graduated from the State University of New York Farmingdale with an associate degree in computer science. He spent four years in the Navy, based in Jacksonville, Florida. He worked in the aviation industry for 40 years, including 30 years at Pan Am. Alfred also worked as a volunteer firefighter in Greenlawn, New York.

In his spare time Alfred enjoyed collecting and building model cars and planes, especially 1957 Chevys. For some time, he owned a 1957 Chevy. He expressed regret later about getting rid of it. Alfred enjoyed painting ceramic buildings and figures and giving them as gifts during the holidays to family and friends. He enjoyed travel with family members and at different times owned a camper and a boat, which he named "The Salty Dog". Alfred also coached little league baseball teams for a few years. He was known to enjoy a fine beer on occasion. His favorite was Coors Light.

Services for Mr. Roberts are in the care of Coral Springs Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 from 2-6PM and Burial will be the Monday following, November 15th, 2021 9:30AM at South Florida National Cemetery.
