IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Cardozo

Celebrating the Life of Alfred Benjamin Cardozo
March 15, 1934 – February 12, 2026
Alfred passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 at home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sonia Cardozo. Proud father of Angela Baas (Adrian), Trudy Reintges (Dick), Cathy Cardozo (Gerry), Jeffrey Cardozo (Veronica), Brian Cardozo (Brooke) and stepfather to Natasha Cox. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Warren Stanley (Julie), Sean Stanley (Rachel), Joseph Cardozo, Elizabeth Cardozo and Katarina Cardozo and his siblings Allister and Marcia. Great grandfather to Levi and Poppy Stanley. He will be missed by his dear 4 legged friend "Cobra". He is predeceased in death by his first wife Maureen Cardozo, his brother Winston Cardozo, stepbrother Carlisle Cardozo, parents Henry Cardozo and mother Lurleen Tomlinson.
Over the years, he wore many hats — from a conductor with Canadian National Railway, to later overseeing his father-in-law's farm in Jamaica, and later serving as a Project Manager at Jamaica Broilers' chicken processing plant. He later moved to Florida and not being afraid of hard work, he managed a Hess service station for many years and finally ended his working career at Brinks before retiring. He was a man who could fix almost anything — earning the nickname "MacGyver" — and he loved cars, motorcycles, fishing, puttering around the house, and especially being by the ocean.
Life shaped him in many ways, and he will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
A heartfelt thank you to his dedicated and caring private caregivers who supported him with patience and care throughout his journey when his health had declined.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Coral springs Funeral Home from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026.
