Alfonsa Faye Valerio, 96, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on January 16, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Italian immigrants, she was taught the value of working hard and being studious. Faye graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College with a Masters degree, working all the while through school. She, along with her husband, was a life-long teacher and care-giver of her mother. Faye enjoyed cooking and baking. Blessed with talent in the arts, she found great joy in music, needlepoint, crocheting, and painting.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 2008; her niece, Carol Salazar; and her great-nephew, Christopher. She is survived by her sister Frances; nephews, Paul (Martha) Meshensky and Ed Salazar; great nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Shawn, Brian, John, Marie, and Joanna; great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and Godchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a Service to begin at 11:30 A.M.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Doylestown, PA at Our Lady of Czestochowa, where Faye will also be laid to rest.
