Albert (Kirk) Martin, 83, of Margate, FL passed away Tuesday morning, December 4, 2012 at Kindred Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale due to pulmonary and cardiac complications. Albert (Kirk) was born Friday, July 12, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan in the home of his parents, Dunham Martin and Pearl Edwards. He was number seven in the line of nine children. He had seven brothers and one sister. Dunham II, Harold, Roy, Georgia Ruth, Robert, Harvey, Richard and Jimmy. On August 19, 1950 he was married to Jean Errair. Together for more than 62 years, they experienced the changing scenes of life in the joyous and fruitful companionship, which the Lord entrusted to them. He is survived by his wife Jean and his two children. Daughter: Vickie and her husband Tim Garza, son: Ken Martin and his wife Ellen. His four grand children: Natalie (Andres) Healy; Tim Garza; Ashley, Casey & Alexis Martin. Albert (Kirk) served in WWII, and two tours to Korea. He received the Army Good Conduct Medal; WWII Victory Service Medal; WWII Army of Occupation Medal - Japan; National Defense Korean Service Medal 2 Bronze Stars; United Nations Korean Defense Service Medal; Republic of Korea WAR Service Medal; He began his electrical career in Detroit as an electrician apprentice and later started an Electrical Contracting business with his partner Bill Lapere of Lighthouse Point, FL. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that he has passed the barrier of time, as we know it and is forever home with the Lord wearing his crown. Albert (Kirk) surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ/Messiah when he was 29 years old. From that day forward he faithfully served for more than 55 years. His leaves his legacy for his children and their children from the bible found in ~Romans 8:38-39 - 38 "For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. *He loved being with his family!
