Family and Friends are invited to the celebration of life gathering for Ada Silva at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 3pm located at 1420 University Drive, Coral Springs FL 33071.

Ada Andion Silva, age 71, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021 due to a long battle with dementia.

She was born in Guanabocoa, Cuba to Pedro and Maria Alicia Andion. At the age of twelve she was separated from her family and came to the United States through the Pedro Pan Freedom Flights.  She was sent to the Sacred Heart Convent orphanage in Pueblo, Colorado for two years. She then lived in several foster homes until she was reunited with her mother and sister in 1966.  She moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met her husband, Orestes Silva and were married in 1968. Together they had two daughters in 1971 and 1975. Ada was reunited with her brother, who was a Cuban political prisoner and came to this country in 1978.

She had a long career in sales and finance.  Ada's biggest passion was her family and being a mother. She loved entertaining and family gatherings.  She was selfless, always putting other people first.  Her family was always her priority. Ada had an amazing ability to please and make others happy.  She had an overwhelming love for animals and would give her whole heart to care for them.

Ada loved to dance to Latin music and always had a special love for Elvis Presley. The joy in her eyes and heart was when her two grandchildren were born.  She treasured and embraced every moment with them.  Ada was a devout Christian, read her bible daily and put her complete trust in Jesus Christ.

Ada is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Silva Anderson and Melanie Silva Randazzo; granddaughter, Danielle Jessica DeRosa; grandson, Vincent Mario Randazzo; brother, Augusto Andion; sister, Alicia Andion Fernandez.
